Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs play a pivotal role in replenishing the workforce and driving are region's competitiveness. CTE prepares the next generation of skilled-workers, entrepreneurs, technicians, innovators and problem-solvers – the people who will help businesses and communities thrive. CTE is developing America’s most valuable resource: its people.
Through internships, apprenticeships and other work-based learning programs, our school is actively partnering with local businesses to build a pipeline of qualified workers in high-skill, high-wage and/or high-demand jobs. The value of CTE to Southern Ohio's businesses lies in the quality and employability of the next generation of occupational specialists. By working with CTE programs, businesses can put fewer resources into job training and more toward innovation and expansion.

This school will forever be “Vo-Tec” in the minds and hearts of all who have experienced the services of the district over the past 35 years. However, the term “vocational” has become associated to rehabilitation services, and statewide legislation dictates this adjustment. We hope everyone understands that we are Vo-Tec, and will forever be associated with everything connected to the name Vo-Tec.
